The HubSpot Blog Drives 2 Million Monthly Views – Here's How

“We can’t scale the output of our blog at the same rate that we need to grow." – Pamela Vaughan (HubSpot)

^Read that again.

This is from a piece of the discussion I had with Vaughan, manager of optimization and growth of HubSpot Content, last week for Louder Than Words.

This is perhaps the most sage advice you'll ever receive in regards to growing your blog or even your company through a sound content strategy.

At the outset, the growth curve seems endless. Think of it as being an infant; growing is inevitable.

Every blog post you publish seems to generate more attention, so you begin increasing frequency.

Weekly, 3x weekly, daily, 2x daily – the more you post the more you grow.

But then you grow. And at some point during this growth, volume eventually sees diminishing returns.

This is where The HubSpot Blog currently finds itself. Driving more than 2 million monthly views, it's become one of the most venerable sources of knowledge in the space.

But HubSpot makes no secret of its aggressive growth goals. Now public, the company has aspirations for increasing market share in the sales software space on top of continuing its exponential growth in the marketing software space.

So how does The HubSpot Content team keep pace?

Pamela Vaughan, manager of optimization and growth of HubSpot content, recently shared the answers – as well as her insight on how the The HubSpot Blog grew to 2 million views – with me on Louder Than Words.
